Group Classes

I’m currently teaching monthly knitting and crochet classes at the Discovery Center, Chicago’s lifelong learning center.

Intro to Crochet I

For absolute beginners who have no prior knowledge of crochet but want to learn the art of crocheting. Class will include proper nomenclature (terminology), hands on learning, visual aids, 1 on 1 assistance, and a Q&A session throughout the class. Students will leave with their crochet project, having learned 5 basic crochet stitches, how to begin and end your crochet project, an introduction to pattern reading, and the warm sense of accomplishments from learning a new skill.

Intro to Crochet II

This class is for those who have either taken beginners crochet or know the basics and are ready to learn MORE! We will learn joining multiple skeins to make your project longer, crocheting in the round, how to increase and decrease stitches, and how to add pompoms. We will also cover making a basic granny square, how to join squares, and how to read crochet patterns.
