Probably my favorite knitting pattern is my chunky turban headband. I love how the turban shape frames the face and really compliments every face type. I wanted to create more turban shaped headbands because I love wearing them, but I wanted something a bit more intricate.
With that in mind, I designed the Cable Cross headband. It’s a seamless headband featuring a beautiful cable design that crosses in front to create the turban style headband. It’s worked flat and works up really quickly. It’s easy to adjust the pattern to fit any size.
For this pattern, you’ll need:
- 1 skein of Loops & Threads Creme Cotton or yarn of choice – medium weight (4) At least 1 ½ yards of scrap yarn – medium weight
- US size 4 (3.5 mm) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge
- Cable Needle
- Two Stitch Holders
- Tapestry Needle
- US size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook
The skills you’ll need are provisional cast on, cable knitting, and grafting in pattern.
This is a premium pattern rather than a free one, but in keeping with the spirit of making yarn crafting accessible, it’s an affordable price.
You can purchase the pattern on ravelry or etsy for $2.99.
For a limited time, I’m offering $1 off this pattern for my readers. On either purchasing platform, enter code CABLECROSS for the coupon code. Discount expires October 18th.
Hope the Cable Cross Headband can help keep you warm as we move into colder weather.
Happy knitting!
