When I started Sara’s Craft Corner, I wanted to focus on creating patterns, education, and helping to keep yarn crafting accessible. In the past few years, I’ve been very happy seeing the growth of Sara’s Craft Corner and I’ve always been looking to have more growth. I’m still not quite ready to go back to in person classes or private lessons like I was doing pre-covid, but I did take the plunge to expand into a new market that I’m happy to announce.
I’ve been doing a lot of work behind the scenes and I’m excited to announce that Sara’s Craft Corner has expanded to Etsy!
There’s a few reasons I decided on opening an etsy shop. First and foremost is to help support the blog and the work I do for Sara’s Craft Corner. While I will still release free patterns here and on ravelry, etsy provides another platform for me to sell my premium patterns on. They will always be the same affordable price that they are on ravelry, but it gives more options for what people are comfortable with. So going forward, I will be releasing patterns on both platforms and always at the same price.
The other reason is I make too much stuff.
I absolutely love designing and I usually make all of the sample knits/crochets for patterns I write (as well as do the photography), but that has resulted in too much stuff. I do tend to give some away or design for specific people (like Melissa’s Headband and Amanda’s Hat) as gifts, but even still, I end up with way more handmade items than I know what to do with. Especially when I’m designing for an upcoming pattern book (like my seamless headbands).
So my etsy shop is the solution to both. You’ll be able to find my premium patterns listed there, as well as sample knits of designs I made. All of the sample items will have only been used for photos/videos in patterns and promotions, so they’re all at a pretty reasonable price. But I won’t be making stock of specific items, so once an item sells, it’s gone (you can always get the pattern, though). Buying my sample knits is a great way to support my blog, get handcraft items, and help me not be overrun by everything I design.
I do have 4 new patterns I plan to release soon, as well as some new tutorials/techniques coming up, but I wanted to take a moment to share this launch with you all. You can find my etsy shop here (shop name is SarasCraftCornerShop) and in the menu bar above.
Thank you all so much for the love and support over the years!
Happy crafting!
