With the cold weather right now, its important to keep your head and ears warm. Having curly hair, I’m not much of a hat person myself, so I love making and wearing headbands in winter. While I love the Chunky Turban Headband I made last year, I wanted something with a fun classic braid. I wanted to take my two favorite aspects of the other headbands I’ve made, seamless and chunky knit, but I also wanted a knitting pattern that was versatile and could be used for a variety of different looks. That’s why I came up with this beautiful seamless braided headband.
And I must say, I adore this pattern.
It’s super warm, virtually seamless, and a fairly easy pattern repeat. But the best part for me is that its extremely versatile. Using a thick yarn and large needle, it makes a beautiful chunky knit headband perfect for winter. Using a smaller needle and thinner yarn, I made a beautiful braided headband perfect for every day use. No extra math or trying to figure out how to make it work with less stitches, just adjusting yarn weight and needle size gives this pattern a totally different look.
